Jamie and Shane’s wedding at The Country Club in Pepper Pike was the kind of summer day you hope for when planning a celebration months—or years—out. Clear skies, warm sunshine, and the perfect light breeze created the most inviting backdrop for their elegant celebration.

From the moment guests arrived, they were welcomed into a world of soft, romantic blues. The couple embraced a “shades of blue” theme that was woven beautifully throughout their day—subtle, timeless, and effortlessly sophisticated.

A Meaningful Ceremony at St. Rita Church

Before the celebrations began at The Country Club, Jamie and Shane exchanged vows in a full Catholic Mass at St. Rita Church in Solon. The church’s classic architecture and warm light created an atmosphere of reverence and beauty as the couple made their lifelong commitment surrounded by family and friends.

The ceremony felt deeply personal—filled with tradition, heartfelt readings, and joyful music. Watching them walk back down the aisle as newlyweds, beaming with excitement, set the tone for the incredible celebration that followed.

If there’s one word to describe the floral design for this wedding, it’s abundant. Every corner of the venue was brought to life with lush, layered arrangements.

From full, textured bouquets to overflowing centerpieces, the flowers added movement, color, and an ethereal sense of romance. Against the classic backdrop of The Country Club, the blooms felt right at home.

A Joyful Twist: The Couple Joined Cocktail Hour

One of the most memorable parts of the day was Jamie and Shane’s choice to join their guests for cocktail hour. Rather than waiting until the reception to make their appearance, they mingled, laughed, and toasted with everyone they love most. It made the celebration feel relaxed, joyful, and entirely true to who they are as a couple.

I had the joy of designing their wedding invitations along with several day-of details—and these were some of my favorite pieces of the year. Their invitation suite introduced the blue palette with subtle layering and elegant textures.

For the reception, we carried those same tones into their stunning seating chart, a true statement piece that guided guests seamlessly into dinner. Coordinating place cards added the perfect finishing touch, tying together the tablescape with understated charm.
